The Question Every Homeowner Asks

"Will You Damage My House,
Fence, or Garden?"

This is the question we hear most — and it deserves a straight answer. Yes, we specialize in near-structure removals. We’ve safely taken down trees within inches of foundations, fences, driveways, and power lines across Kansas City.
Before we lift a single tool, Jose walks the site with you, explains the exact removal plan, and identifies what gets protected and how. Our crew uses precision rigging — not guesswork — to control every cut.

How We Work

What ISA-Standard Trimming
Actually Looks Like

Most services trim by eye. We trim by standard. Here’s the difference between a crew that guesses and one that’s certified.

Precision Rigging &
Sectional Removal

Instead of dropping whole trees, we section them from the top down using professional rigging ropes and pulleys. Each section is lowered in a controlled direction — we decide exactly where it lands, not gravity.

Right Equipment for Every Job

How do I know you won’t butcher my trees? Our ISA-certified crew trims to the tree’s natural form — never just hacks what’s in the way. Before/after photos on request.

Pre-Job Site Walk with Jose

Every removal starts with Jose personally assessing your property — identifying risks, confirming the plan, and answering your questions before a single cut is made. You’re never left wondering what happens next.

The Owner

Meet Jose Omar Maldonado

Jose Omar Maldonado started Omar Tree Service in 2014 with one commitment: to do the job right, clean up completely, and treat every customer’s property like it’s his own. Over a decade later, that’s still how every single job gets done.

When you hire Omar Tree Service, Jose personally oversees the work. He’s the one who picks up the phone, assesses your situation, and makes sure you’re satisfied before the crew leaves your driveway.

Why Customers Choose Us

What Makes Omar Tree Service
Different

It’s not just about having a chainsaw. It’s about what happens from the moment you call to the moment we leave your driveway.

🔐

Fully Insured — You're Protected

We carry full general liability and worker’s compensation insurance. If anything goes wrong on your property, you are not liable. You can ask to see our certificates before any work begins — we’ll show them.

🧹

Complete Cleanup — Every Time

We haul away all wood, branches, and debris. We chip what we can on-site and remove everything else. We leave your yard cleaner than we found it — that’s a promise, not just marketing. Want to keep the firewood? We’ll stack it.

📞

Jose Answers the Phone Himself

When you call, you’re talking to the owner — not a call center. Jose personally assesses every job, gives you the estimate, and oversees the crew. You always know exactly who is accountable for your property.

⏱️

Fast, Reliable, and On Time

Most removals are completed in 2–4 hours, start to finish. One customer in Westwood had a full removal done in 2.5 hours. We show up when we say we will, we work efficiently, and we don’t leave until the job is complete.

What to Expect

What Happens on Removal Day

No surprises, no confusion. Here’s exactly what the crew does from the moment they pull into your driveway.

Site Walk & Plan Confirmation

Jose walks the site with you before anything starts. He confirms the removal plan, identifies what gets protected, and answers any last questions. No surprises.

Sectional Removal from the Top

We work top-down — removing limbs in sections using rigging ropes to control each piece. The tree comes down exactly where we planned, protecting everything around it.

Chipping, Cutting & Hauling

All brush gets chipped. Wood is cut into manageable logs — stacked if you want to keep it, or hauled away if not. The stump can be ground down in the same visit.

Full Cleanup & Final Walk

We blow out debris, rake the area clean, and do a final walk with you before we leave. You confirm everything is right before we pack up. That’s the standard.

Our Honest Assessment

When Removal Isn't
Your Only Option

We don’t remove trees for the sake of it. When we visit your property, Jose assesses whether alternatives could solve the problem and let you keep the tree. Here are the two most common.

Insect or Disease Treatment

If your tree is diseased or infested, removal may not be necessary. Depending on the species, the disease, and how far it’s progressed, treatment may restore the tree’s health. We’ll tell you honestly whether treatment is worth pursuing — or whether it’s already too far gone. We don’t prescribe removal when it isn’t needed.

Bracing & Cabling

Structurally weak trees with split trunks or heavy co-dominant leaders can sometimes be saved with professional bracing and cabling systems. When done correctly, this extends the life of a feature tree for years and eliminates the risk of branch failure — without removing the tree entirely. We’ll show you whether your tree is a good candidate.

Common Questions

Everything You Want to Know Before You Call

We believe an informed homeowner makes better decisions. Here are the questions we hear most — answered honestly.

Can you remove a tree next to my house or fence?
Yes — this is one of our specialties. We’ve removed trees within inches of foundations, fences, driveways, and overhead lines throughout Kansas City. We use professional rigging to lower sections in a controlled direction. Before we start, you’ll know exactly where every piece of that tree is going to land.
Most residential tree removals take 2–4 hours from arrival to full cleanup. One of our customers in Westwood had a complete removal done in 2.5 hours — that’s our standard, not our exception. Larger trees near structures take longer, and we’ll tell you that upfront in the estimate.
Stump grinding is a separate service but can usually be done the same day as removal. We grind below root level, clear all wood chips, and leave the area ready to plant grass over immediately. Ask about bundling removal and stump grinding for the best pricing.
What if your crew damages my property?
We carry full general liability and worker’s compensation insurance. Any accidental property damage is covered — you are not liable. We’ve done hundreds of removals near structures without incident. You can ask to see our insurance certificates before we begin any work.
Completely. We chip all brush on-site and haul away every piece. If you want to keep the firewood, just say so — we’ll cut the wood into logs and stack it wherever you’d like. We leave your yard cleaner than we found it. Every single time. That’s a promise, not marketing.
Yes — fully licensed and fully insured. You can ask to see our certificates before any work begins. We carry general liability and worker’s compensation. If anything goes wrong on your property, you are protected — not liable. We never ask a customer to accept risk on our behalf.
